PSSA SALON IMAGE OF THE YEAR 2015: Best Nature Image

I’ve just read on the website of the Photographic Society of South Africa (PSSA) that I’ve won the annual PSSA Salon image of the year in the Nature category.

How does it work? All the images that won a medal (won any of the various categories in the specific salon) in national salons (photography competitions) the past year are entered in this competition organised by the PSSA. Then a winner is selected in the different categories. And the Lioness and cubs image of mine was selected as the winner in the Nature category.

Images taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (Leeudril waterhole) during a quick last drive early on Sunday morning before leaving the park to go back home (friend and family decided not to take this last drive and went straight home – too bad for them!).
