One of my image of Namibia was published in the Getaway of September 2013 as a finalist in the magazine’s Gallery. The photo was taken during our photography safari in the Southern part of Namibia with Hougaard Malan and Shem Chompion of C4 Images & Safaris in March 2012. Thanks Getaway and thanks guys for all your support and patience with me. The image:

Message to take home
It is said that there are three major variables that go into creating a composite. These three variable are color, light, and perspective. In this image of mine, I’ve tried to match all three variables to create this realistic and believable end result of the dunes on a farm in Namibia. A lesson I’ve learned from this trip with Hougaard and Shem is that composition is not not placing subjects of interest in the acceptable position in your image but also to consider the color, light, and perspective to be matched as much as possible. I hope this image works for you as it does for me.
Until next time, consider the three variables and keep on shooting!!!
